Prof. O'Sullivan has been awarded a Young Investigator Grant from the nonprofit Breast Cancer Alliance for our project entitled "Multifunctional microimplants for sensing and delivery of response-guided treatment in breast cancer." Our goal in this project is to demonstrate and evaluate a new technology that can treat breast cancer (locally and metastatic) using real-time feedback of tumor response.
