Our research to develop better methods for noninvasive diffuse optical imaging and characterization of breast tumors was just published in the Applied Sciences Special Issue: "Diffuse Optical Spectroscopy: Advances Towards Widespread Applications." In this paper, we present a new technique that provides a more accurate measurement of tumor composition, which will be important for breast cancer diagnosis and treatment monitoring.
