Our proposal, "Optically-enhanced wire-free breast lesion localization system" was recently awarded funding from the Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute.  This work, in collaboration with Dr. Kandice Ludwig in the Department of Surgery at the Indiana University School of Medicine and Dr. Patrick Fay in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Notre Dame, will allow us to develop a new approach to localization breast lesions during breast cancer surgery.
